Instructions for Outlook Express stationery version 5.0 and up (Windows 98, XP etc.)

Unzip the file and extract contents to folder,
(C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery).

How to Use
To use the stationery ,Simply open Outlook Express,
click the little down arrow next to 'Create Mail' choose 'Select Stationery'
and choose which stationery name you want to use and press ok.(in this instance the file name will be prefaced with the words ThrillbillyStomp and the extension name of .htm

You will only see the scrolling when your letter is in Drafts Folder or when it is being sent.
It is normal when typing for it not to move.

If you have never installed and used stationery before and still feel unsure of the procedure for your computers operating system, You may like to visit one of the many stationery help sites in Yahoo before installing as Stationery can be a lot of fun to use but at first it can appear complicated instead of just the few steps it entails if you have never used it before. Just type in your search engine box

NOTE: Scrolling Stationery

If you don't wish or feel comfortable changing your settings there is  Non scrolling stationery you can download which does not require you changing any settings.) However you can still use scrolling stationery if you like but you will not see the scrolling effect).

If you have downloaded Scrolling stationery and it doesn't scroll when you send it or view in Drafts Folder or when being sent in your Outlook Express, It would more than likely be because you are using Outlook Express version higher than 5.5 or you have Installed XP service Pack 2 and your security setting is High.  You can change this setting lower to view Scrolling Stationery (from here and other sites) if you like but do so at your own risk.

If you feel confident to do change your settings for scrolling stationery,The instructions are as below to change your settings.

1. Open Your Outlook Express Mail Program
2. go to Tools
3. Options
4. Security tab
5. change radio button from 'Restricted Sites' to  'Internet Zones'

Uninstalling

There is No Uninstaller with this program. You can just manually remove the stationery by
removing either the 4 or 5 file names listed in the Read Me that comes in each download from
the stationery folder that you first installed them in.

That is the folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery
